Connor Coull
Hello.
I am a recent Computing Science Graduate based in Scotland, working towards a concentrated focus in the design, development, and deployment of machine learning systems. Currently I am building agents, databases, and data aggregation systems for product and AI reliability in the finance industry. I am interested in emerging research around the safety, security, and alignment of LLMs (especially the unique extra challenges around open-weight models). I have a background in graph neural networks for security applications and am a software engineer comfortable across the whole stack, including UI/UX.
Projects.
- TGEA — Masters thesis. A novel Temporal Graph-Edge Autoencoder built on TGN (Rossi et al., 2020) to detect malicious network flows in Critical National Infrastructure.
- Chat — I built a (currently very bare-bones) LLM-based chat application which will serve as a platform-within-a-platform for any future LLM-based projects. Currently it uses Bedrock to serve models and the existing Cloudflare stack to manage user usage limits
- Flashcards — An SM-2 based flashcards app which I build to serve as a study aid as I continue independent learning post-grauation.
- Homepage — Recently revamped my personal website homepage to be more integrated with art & nature, and a better representation of myself and my work.
Currently Reading.
- Evaluating whether AI models would sabotage AI safety research — Kirk et al., 2026
- Language Models (Mostly) Know What They Know — Kadavath et al., 2022
- Fundamental Limitations of Pointwise Defences of LLM Finetuning APIs — Davies et al., 2025

Outside of my work
My interest is split between the arts and the outdoors. I am very passionate about music, film (especially horror), and art. When I have time I like to go on hikes and coastal walks, which inspired the choice of La Pointe de La Hève as the backdrop of this site. I'd recommend:
- Album — WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA by Slayyyter
- Film — Annihilation
- Painting — The Chalk Cutting by Arthur Melville
